Things are always busy, and I can't let that continue to be my lame excuse for not blogging. I thought I should update for 08. Sorry - bad rhyme.
Pete - turned 30 today! He is in the 220s for lbs and looking incredible! He is totally pumped about being 30 and not at all ashamed! Here is a little top ten list I made him:
Caden - is currently on his way home from his first Arena Cross event with Daddy and some friends from church. He has been telling me to buy him a blue motorcycle. Pete is convinced he will be riding a dirtbike this summer. I was just hoping for potty training this summer.
He has recently been complaining of monsters in his room. A friend told us to ask him to describe the monsters. So I did.
"What did the monster look like, Caden?"
"Um, he was kinda... blue"
"Really? Did he have purple spots?"
"Yup"
"Was he big or little?"
"Big. Real big."
"Was his name Sully?"
"Yup! Monsters Inc!"
Hmm... too many movies.
Ryder - this is a little man on the go. He has been crawling for weeks, but is pulling up on everything and cruising around. He is amazing. He will try to crawl up the steps and has made it up 3!! He is also biting a lot... which worries me. If he gets mad that I picked him up from eating some dust off the floor or something, he bites down hard into my shoulder. It hurts and I have many bruises to account for it. But he is also a lover, a sweet snuggler and a giggler! Great personality and fun to watch grow.
We have been enjoying a bit of down time from crazy wedding season and having a lot of playtime with our new kid kitchen. I do look forward to different weather - either snow or get warm, I say!

6. You’ll be back at early college weight.
5. Christmas will never be the same.
4. Finally feeling grown up?

2. Getting to know Caden and Ryder.
1. Caden and Ryder getting to know God.
Kim - trying to get over the fact that Caden likes to occasionally call me Mom, not Mommy. And Pete is often Dad not Daddy. Just another little step towards him growing up. "I a kid, not a baby, Dad."
